Counselling and general therapy are also available for individuals with mental health conditions (with or without cognitive impairment).
Neurobehavioural intervention plans for those with cognitive impairment (e.g., acquired brain injuries [ABI], dementia, intellectual disability, etc.).
It is recommended that you seek a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) through your general practitioner (GP) to access the Medicare rebate. You are likely to need to book a double-length appointment with your GP to create a MHCP.
Susan also accepts referrals for counselling from TAC, WorkCover, and other compensatory organisations.
Susan is in the process of becoming an NDIS provider for psychological services.
Referrals
Diagnostic neuropsychological assessments require a referral from a relevant health professional (e.g., general practitioner, clinical psychologist, TAC, etc.).
Self-referrals are NOT accepted, although Susan is happy to discuss the referral process with potential patients.
Fees for counselling
A psychological therapy session costs $330 (GST inclusive) for a 50-60 minute session for non-compensatory patients.

Payment must be made prior to the commencement of the assessment. Payment can be made via EFTPOS on the day or by direct debit (payment must be confirmed prior to the day of the assessment).
Patients are entitled to a general psychological therapy rebate of $93.35 (Medicare item 80110; valid until 30 June 2025) through Medicare for a 46-60 minute therapy session for an individual with a MHCP (via their GP). Full payment will need to be made on the day of the appointment, and you can claim your rebate through Medicare (www.my.gov.au).
